Sowing Support, Empowerment, and Wellness Through Every Birth Journey for Expectant Families

Welcome!
At NURTURING EMBRACE DOULA SERVICES, we are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate, non-medical doula care to every expectant family, guiding them through every phase of their birth journey. Our mission is to empower our clients during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery by providing them with informed choices, expert guidance, hands-on comfort, and emotional support.
Here's an overview of what we offer our clients

Childbirth Education
We believe that the key to a healthy and empowered birth is education during pregnancy.
We will go through a range of practical classes that will cover your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period during your prenatal sessions with me.
In these classes you will learn:
Natural Pain Management for Labor, where we will practice breathing, labor positions, massage techniques, water therapy, and more.
We will also cover the First, Second and Third Stages of Labor as well as the different types of Phases of Labor (Early, Active, and Transition). These are the core parts of Lamaze, which is a childbirth education approach involving exercises and breathing control to give pain relief without the use of drugs.
Understanding Medical Interventions, where we will review all of the different types of medical interventions that can happen in a hospital or birthing center. You will understand the pros and cons of each one and learn how to make the most informed decisions about your labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.
Newborn Care, where we will cover the basics of newborn care including your baby's first bath, swaddling, feeding, and sleeping. This class will go over all the tricks and tips you need to know first for the few days and weeks of your little one's life.
Preparing for Breastfeeding, where I will give you the tools you need to reach your infant feeding goals. Topics to be covered include breastfeeding benefits, colostrum and the transition to mature milk, positioning, and alignment for you and your baby, how to latch and how to know if your infant is getting enough milk, breast and nipple care, hand and expression pumping, and more.
By the time your labor starts you'll be fully informed and prepared for birth and parenthood!
Doula Support
Our doula services provide you with expert guidance from someone who can clearly communicate your needs to your healthcare team, as well as help you make informed decisions and stay in control—following the birth plan we create together, even if it evolves during labor and delivery.
Just imagine how confident you will feel having an experienced, caring, and dedicated birth and postpartum advocate by your side to guide and support you!
-
Prenatal Support:
From day one, I partner with you to build your confidence and preparedness for labor and birth. Together we will create a personalized birth plan, explore evidence-based information, practice comfort techniques, and address your questions. You will receive emotional support and guidance that are tailored to your values and preferences so you feel informed and empowered long before labor begins—and as you get really close to your due date you will be able to text or call me anytime 24/7.
-
Labor & Birth Support:
When you go into labor I will meet you at your preferred birthing location (hospital, birthing center, or at home) where I provide continuous, non-medical support during labor and birth through physical comfort measures (position changes, massage, counterpressure, breathing techniques), emotional reassurance, and advocacy. I will go over your birth plan with your healthcare team to communicate your birth preferences, helping you and your partner stay present and calm through any changes that may occur during this period. I will advocate for you and support your decisions so you always feel safe, respected, and confident. -
Newborn Care Assistance:
In the early days after the birth of your baby, I will offer practical, on-demand guidance for feeding (breastfeeding, bottle, or combination), soothing a fussy baby, establishing realistic sleep and daily rhythms, and understanding normal newborn behaviors. You’ll have a trusted resource via text or phone for quick answers and gentle coaching, helping you and your partner feel more capable and less overwhelmed as you bond with your baby. -
Postpartum Recovery Boost:
I support your physical and emotional recovery after birth with personalized care focused on healing, rest, nutrition, and adjusting to life with a newborn. This includes practical help with recovery techniques, light household support, emotional check-ins, and guidance on self-care while balancing new routines. Whether you need short-term or extended support (call for more details), I walk alongside you so you can recover with confidence, feel nurtured, and thrive in the postpartum period.
-
Optional Services:
I offer customized in-home meal preparation using my professional chef skills and experience, so that you and your partner can focus on bonding with your baby. I can also help introduce pets (dogs and/or cats) to the new baby. Additional services are available—we can discuss options, duration, and cost anytime during your initial consultation.
